December 3, 2007

I started this blog with my six tag facts and then uploaded pictures. I figured I could cut and paste things where I wanted them, but it turns out I'm not that talented. So just pretend that this post is in some sort of order. Now let the pictures begin...

We FINALLY had a picture taken with the whole family! Hurray! Now if everyone was looking and smiling that would be even better! Beautiful Kinzlee.
Handsome Corbin.
Beautiful Adley.
Beautiful Brecklyn.

Adley and Brecklyn before church on Sunday. I could just kiss those cheeks all day! This is my Dad holding Breck on Thanksgiving. She had a belly ache and of course the only one who could calm her down was Grandpa! He is the master of banishing belly aches! She fell asleep like this. We love you Grandpa!
We spent Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Manti this year. I took my nieces and nephews outside one afternoon for some races. This is a picture of the three-legged race. It was hilarious. I attached a video below! That took forever so you better enjoy it!

Here's some runners taking their mark. This is pretty serious business for some as you can tell.

I have no idea why these pictures decided to turn when they were uploading, because they didn't start this way. Sorry..I am too tired to redo them. A little late, but still fun. Here's Adley...

and Brecklyn...
and Corbin and Kinzlee. This is a picture of the twins that the nurses in the NICU took. We recently went to the Jubilee of Trees here in St. George and Kinzlee said, "Mom look our babies are on this tree!" Funny thing...they were. It was so crazy.

I have been asked by several people where I got the background for my blog. I wish I could tell you, but I honestly have no idea. I just found out that Jordan had set up a blog (even though he had never posted on it, and didn't remember he had it) and I stole it from him. Sorry.

Second matter of business, I have been tagged by several people whom I have been ignoring for some time now. So lets get that out of the way...

1. My favorite food is traveling tacos a.k.a seven layer dip. Jordan makes fun of me because its not really a favorite food, it's more like a favorite snack, but I would rather have that for dinner(if it is made right) than an expensive steak any day! Besides, our friend Andy's favorite food is "blue Gatorade", and mine isn't nearly as funny as that! Sorry Andy!

2. I secretly wish I was Rachel Ray! I am really not too interested in having her life, just her head full of recipes and general food knowledge. OK, having her money wouldn't be too terrible!

3. My husband and I share a strange passion for peeling skin! We love it when the other has a sunburn! I could peel skin for hours! It is such a great feeling when you get a really big piece! Gross I know, but much better than picking other things!

4. I absolutely detest unpacking. When I was young I used to just come home and stick my suitcase in my closet and forget about it until I really needed something inside. Now I have to unpack for a whole family and it really stinks!

5. Next to unpacking I also hate putting clean clothes away. I love to gather laundry...I love to start laundry...I LOVE to fold laundry, but then it usually sits on the couch for days. I hate to put laundry away.

6. I love to clean! You would never guess this by looking in my house, but I do have two infants right now! I don't know what it is but cleaning my toilet brings me great joy!

Here is a video of some of the kids in the three-legged race. Corbin raced with his cousin Jackson. As you can see he fell immediately and it was so funny to watch Jackson drag him along inch by inch. Corbin was laughing all the way. Such silly kids.

I love the pics. Your kids are like Gap ads, very suave. And yes, Tim says that Hadley looks like Elizabeth Abbott too. Weird. I just remembered from your blog that you live in St. George. We drive through there all the time between Utah and good old SoCal, a trip we do WAY too many times a year and are doing again in a few weeks. Sigh.

Melissa! I love seeing new pictures. That first picture with your whole family is SO cute. We taken like two pictures with our whole family, and they both turned out pretty bad. Your family is so cute! I can't wait to see you at Christmas!

cute pics, hilarious videos and I loved the 6 facts. I hate putting away laundry too...I fold it and leave it in the basket and glenn rifles through it and then I end up having to fold it again!

That was so cute the way corby fell down and just decided to stay down!

I'm impressed with the length of the post and love all of your photos. It looks like Brecklyn is catching up to Adley in size and all four (Holy Cow Lissa, you have 4 kids!) are so beautiful.

Hey, at least you fold the laundry--mine gets piled up in the basket, dumped out all over the floor when my kids want to play in the basket, put back in, hauled back and forth between my room and the living room several times until I break down and fold it, or Dan gets fed up and folds it. It's really cool when I finally fold it right before washing it all again (like garments--the worst load to fold) and there's not much to fold since we've (I'VE) pulled from it all week. You'd think I'd actually make my life easier by not being lazy. Funny, I think that some people think laziness makes their life easier. Huh.

I remember watching Melissa clean her tub one day, when she was pregnant with Corbin (I don't know why I let her clean it, I should have done it for her). She seemed so happy to be cleaning it though and I remember thinking, what a woman! She's home taking care of Kinz all day and she finds SOO much joy in cleaning! Made me want to clean my tub - almost.
